Consignment Checklist

Do your item(s) have an expected resale value of $500+?

Are item(s) in sellable, working condition?

• Recently cleaned & polished
• All setting components and/or mechanisms are in-tact, secure & functioning
• Meet CANARY’s pre-loved jewelry condition standards of minimal scratches and signs of wear

Do designer items have proof of authenticity? This could include, e.g.: 

• Original box and/or papers
• Visible brand marks/stamps
• Original purchase receipt

If your item(s) are valued at $5000+, have they been appraised by a certified gemologist within the last 5-years? 

For items with an expected resale value of over $5000, CANARY requires an appraisal completed by a certified gemologist within the last 5-years before items of that value can be received by CANARY due to our storage insurance requirements.   

Other helpful/valuable details you can include? E.g.:

• Original bill of sale 
• Gemstone type, colour, cut, clarity, carat weight 
• Metal type & karat (if gold) 
• Size (e.g., ring size, bracelet size, necklace length, etc.)
• Estimated retail and/or resale value

Do you have clear photos of your item(s) ready to send to CANARY? - Please capture 1-3 photos per item that highlight important details to be noted.
